It was a wonderful day for trials at the McMahan’s ranch in Smithville! A BIG Thanks to George and Wayne McMahan for having us out at their ranch! The sections were fun, yet challenging and even the weather was cooperative. We had another great turnout with 49 riders. The results are here.

It was great to see old friends and many new faces – we hope to see all of you at Round 4!

Round 4 is in conjunction with the Harvest Classic Rally in Luckenbach. This is an event that you do not want to miss. In addition to the trials event, there’ll be many other fun activities: a vintage and European bike show, a raffle where you could win a really cool bike, BBQ dinner and the World Premier of a really, really cool movie on the Alamo Drafthouse’s Rolling Roadshow Drive-In movie screen!

Register for the rally online at www.harvestclassic.org – you have to register online to get a t-shirt and a ticket to the BBQ dinner. Your entry to the Charity Challenge Trials (Round 4) is your donation to the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation. Ask your family, friends, co-workers and employeer to match your contribution! Results for Round 2 at Texana are here! We had a good turnout with 32 riders competing on Sunday and about 25 riders participating the Ray Peters trials school on Saturday! It was great to see more new faces – Texana appears to be getting more trials riders!
A special THANKS! to Wayne Brannon who cooked up some fabulous Brisket and sausages – it was very, very tasty.

Hope to see everyone at Round # 3 in Smithville – October 1st.

First, I want to say THANKS! to Papa Wolf and The Brace family for having us out to play on their property!And another big THANKS to Jay for setting some very fun sections!We had a great turnout at the Wolf Den & Brace Acres – 62 riders!! To the best of my knowledge, this was the biggest turnout for a summer series event – ever. The turnout stressed the organizers a bit, we ran out of score cards (we made more by hand!) and we had to run to the store for another hundred dollars worth of sausages, tortillas and beer…but, it was really cool to see so many old friends. We also met many new riders and it was encouraging to see the number of new faces – we hope to see you at all of the CTTA events!.

The final results for Round 1 are here. They were double checked and when doing so I found one error that changed final positions (sorry Cory, we had recorded a 1 when you had a 2… and that one point moved Jennifer to 2nd and Cory to 3rd in Novice).

So, Round 2 is Texana Ranch the site of the 2011 Texas National. Round 2 will be on Sunday Aug 7th with a trials school on Saturday Aug 6th. The Ray Peters trials school is free to anyone that volunteered at the National! Lots of camping is available at Texana, so we’ll plan to start early on Sunday in order to avoid the worst of the heat. Look for a flyer for this event in another week or two…
